mike adams (ot, dublin coffman hs, dublin, oh)

Dave: maybe the best player in ohio, which says a lot. he is huge, and supposedly can both run block and pass protect, so i look for him in the 2-deep from day one.

Drew: incredible talent, and someone i look to make an impact from day one. besides that he bleeds scarlet and gray, and has always wanted to be a buckeye. i get higher on this kid everyday.

michael brewster (ol, edgewater hs, orlando, fl)

Dave: the leader of the famed brew crew, he is smart, talented, and hard working. If his shoulder heals in time he could press for immediate playing time.

Drew: the heart of this recruiting class, and a future leader for the scarlet and gray. not only will he be a force from day one, but could help push others to get better like cordle. i can't wait to see this kid over the next several years.

ben buchanan (p/k, westerville central hs, westerville, oh)

Dave: you have to love when specialists are athletes, first, as was mike nugent and a.j. trapasso. i think he winds up being our kicker in a couple of years, but could start punting in '09.

Drew: first commitment in this class, and you have to love anyone that likes the bucks that much. great athlete, and will probably become a fan favorite like guys like nugent. can't wait to see this guy kicking in the future.

nic dilillo (te, madison hs, madison, oh)

Dave: not flashy, but a typical tight end, who will gain weight, be a solid blocker, and catch short to intermediate passes. not kyle rudolph, but he'll fit our plan just fine.

Drew: the kind of tight end we see at ohio state all the time, and will probably contribute a lot his junior and senior seasons. will be a blue collar tight end, and could suprise people before his career is over.

zach domicone (db, beavercreek hs, xenia, oh)

Dave: this one was a suprise and i haven't followed him that much, but when a kid weighs 215 lbs. and can run  a sub 4.5 40 you have to think he'll coach up to become a very good safety, and may grow into a olb.

Drew: played quarterback in high school, and will have to adjust to learning a new position. the size and speed is impressive and i look for him to maybe be the sleeper in this class. his story is crazy, and it is cool to see a guy get to play for his dream school.

garrett goebel (dt, montini hs, villa park, il)

Dave: i love getting big interior lineman on defensive, and i really like stealing him from zookland. i think he will become a beast as a run stopper.

Drew: tressel gets another defensive tackle with a wrestling background, and i love kids with this mentality. has a nose for the ball, and will be a star for the silver bullet defensive in the future!

travis howard (db, krop hs, miami, fl)

Dave: i love this kid and think he may be the steal of the class. he has the size and speed to become a great buckeye corner, and we got him out of south flordia.

Drew: i really like this kid, and i can't wait to see him in the future. he has an incredible upside, and i think he would have been much more hyped had he not had such a star for a teammate. great size for a corner and will have some good years for the bucks.

orhian johnson (ath, boca ciega ha, gulfport, fl)

Dave: nobody has talked about orhian, but i like him for two reasons: 1) he is an athlete, and you can never have enough of those; and, 2) he can play quarterback, which may be important if pryor goes elsewhere and/or henton decides to leave.

Drew: orhian is the kind of guy you like to fill in the gaps of this class with. i could see orhian doing several different things on our team including defensive back, kick return, and punt return. even though he played quarterback in high school, this guy has some major athletic skills.

jermil martin (rb, glenville hs, cleveland, oh)

Dave: the least ballyhooed kid in this class came on board after it was apparent devoe torrence's offer would be pulled. he might grow into a fullback a we need those. or, he might be a big tb, which will be needed after chris wells leaves. the best news is that he is from glenville so he has been coached well and played tough competition.

Drew: i am interested to see what happens with jermil martin in the future. i see him playing fullback, and helping us fill some depth we need at that position. this guy could shock some people and play earlier than expected because we are already thin at fullback, and aram olson's health is always a question mark.

willie mobley (dl, eden prairie hs, eden prairie, mn)

Dave: we needed defensive linemen in this class, and we got them. mobley might be an end or grow into a tackle. either way he has a ton of potential and out last player from minnesota worked out pretty well.

Drew: great prospect, and a guy that helps shape this class out well. he is between a defensive end and defensive tackle, so i see him going where he fits best. the film of him at tackle though looks impressive, and i am excited to see him play in the future.

devier posey (wr, la salle hs, cincinnati, oh)

Dave: after teddy and gonzo left early we needed more playmaking receivers. voila! this kid can play running smooth patterns, having good speed, and catching everything thrown his direction. he sees the field right away.

Drew: i have seen this kid play in person, and he will impressive. still doesn't play using his speed as much as i would like, but that will come in time. he runs incredible patterns, and causes a total mismatch for those who are guarding him. he is a guy that we need at wide receiver, and look for him to see the field this year.

shawntel rowell (dl, glenville hs, cleveland, oh)

Dave: big shaq worked hard, lost weight, and got an offer. he'll redshirt to tone up and learn more about dt, since he played more ot in high school, but he might become a big-time run stopper.

Drew: this is a guy that will probably not see the field until later in his career. with that said i think he will come in on 1st and 2nd downs to stuff up the middle. i like him and his heart, and i will be one of his biggest fans.

etienne sabino (lb, krop hs, miami, fl)

Dave: when espn anoints you the best at your position and people speak of you in the same breath as andy katzenmoyer the pressure is on. this kid has all the tools to be a great one, and might wind up being the bbest in the class, although i hope tp comes aboard to dispute my claim.

Drew: let me just say this is my favorite guy in the class. he is super fast, and has a nose for the football. he will bring speed to linebacker position that we haven't seen for awhile. i love this guy, and he has the skills to be one of the best linebackers in ohio state history.

j.b. shugarts (ol, klein hs, klein, tx)

Dave: the least talked about of the three "block o" lineman, he is nevertheless big, strong, and accomplished. supposedly he can play just about any position on the offensive line.

Drew: like brewster, shugarts has enrolled early which will give him a huge leg up. i personally feel ohio state fans would be more excited about shugarts if he wasn't from texas and they knew more about him. he is an impressive lineman, and will have a great career.

jake stoneburner (wr, dublin coffman hs, dublin, oh)

Dave: jake is so big some think he will become a tight end in time. but he is so fast, that won't happen. when a guy has size speed, and hands, you split him wide and watch corners tremble. i think he will play some right away and the sky is the limit.

Drew: once again, i really like this guy. he combination of size, speed, and ability don't come around to often. he causes matchup problems for everybody, and will be a quarterbacks best friend.

andrew sweat (lb, trinity hs, washington, pa)

Dave: another excellent linebacker prospect, he is more of a mlb than sabino. he may not be the most explosive, but he can get the ball carrier and knows how to slide off blocks. i wonder, though, if he isn't pressed into duty at fullback if aram olson's injuries persist.

Drew: sweat fits the mold of the middle linebackers at ohio state. has great instincts and knows how to stop up the run. like guys like hawk, i think sweat will only get better with coaching and experience.

lamaar thomas (wr/ rb, friendly hs, fort washington, md)

Dave: very fast and explosive, this guy could be the heir apparent to teddy's spot in the shot-ginn offense. they want him to play wide receiver and run back kicks, but you know he could some tailback if needed.

Drew: solid pick up that is just a pure athlete. i think the bucks are pretty set at playing him at wide receiver, and i think that may be the best bet. ray small never has become the burner we have needed, and thomas looks to be able to fill that role.

keith wells (de, gainesville hs, gainesville, ga)

Dave: a late signee, wells has the look of being a great rush end, in the mold of will smith and vernon gholstion. not saying he will be that good, but the potential is there.

Drew: for the second year in a row we get a solid defensive end out of the state of georgia. wells is motivated, smart, and athletic; he wants to make an impact right away. i like hard workers, and his if he keeps that up he could be a better player than even expected.

nathan williams (dl, miami trace hs, washington court house, oh)

Dave: an often forgotten part of this class, Williams played lb in high school, but has the size and speed to become a terrific pass rusher. many think he is the biggest sleeper in the class!

Drew: solid kid, and a guy that i totally don't know what to expect from. looks like a defensive end, and may suprise people. im glad to see him in scarlet and gray, and look forward to seeing what he will turn into.
