Drew Thurman (1:29 pm) With that said, I think my reaction is much like that of Tressel's. While he was surprised considering some of the talented veterans in the Big Ten, he also appreciate the honor. He said this: "It's a good reminder, from an individual standpoint, the respect they have for his ability," Tressel said. "It was a little bit of a surprise, but it's a neat thing." Overall, I do understand what the Big Ten is doing. They realize the incredible marketing power they have in Pryor, and they are going to utilize that. Much like the SEC has made Tim Tebow into a media darling, the Big Ten would love to build Pryor into a superstar. That is a lot of pressure for a sophomore who will already have an entire team on his shoulders, but Pryor isn't exactly the sort of athlete the comes around everyday. I understand the praise of Benn, but Clark should have gotten that award. The guy was too good last year! I can even say that as an OSU fan.
