Adam Griffin Continues Buckeye Legacy 02/11/2010
Just when we thought the 2010 class was done, Tressel signs RB/DB Adam Griffin from Columbus DeSales. It probably doesn't hurt that he is the son of Buckeye great, Archie Griffin! Here is what Tressel said: "Adam Griffin has a passion to be an Ohio State Buckeye," says Coach Jim Tressel. "He will add a great deal to our football family on the field, in the locker room and on our campus. Adam clearly understands the privilege of being an Ohio State Buckeye." I guess they try him out at DB, he isn't going to play running back!

I think this is a great story, but I think he has special teams player written all over him.

I have a hard time believing Tressel would bring in a player who couldn't bring something to the table. His offers are very unimpressive, but his film isn't bad! Who knows whats going.

Nepotism all the way...Michigan and Illinois didn't even offer, and they offer everyone! Hate that we wasted a scholarship with all the talent in 2011.

I don't think I'd use Michigan/Illinois as the recruiting benchmark. I'm comfortable with this since he was also offerd by service academies. I'm not as concerned with nepotism and 85 schollies as I am with nepotism and a dozen or so coaching positions.
