Springfield's Thaddeus Snodgrass is arguably the most talented offensive player in the state of Ohio in the 2014 class. In fact, he was the second player in the class on that side of the ball to receive an offer from the staff after OL Jimmy Byrne.

Snodgrass first blew up when attending the U.S. Army All-American Combine back in January. He received Honorable Mention on the U.S. Army All-Combine Team for his performance, and was the only 2014 wide receiver to be named.

In June, Snodgrass made an appearance at the Ohio State camp and put on a show. He posted a blazing 4.35 40 yard dash at the event, something that quickly earned him a lot of attention from the coaching staff. Meyer would pull Snodgrass aside for a bit at the event, and later on after he left Wide Receivers Coach Zach Smith informed him he had an offer.

Snodgrass also returned to Columbus to take in Friday Night Lights.

The Buckeyes are far from the only school to take notice of his talents though. Pretty much all the Midwestern schools are after him, and he's just started getting offers. As the season unwinds, expect many more of the national powers to come calling. As things stand now, Snodgrass is high on Ohio State, Michigan State and Notre Dame (in no particular order). All three have their angle too. Ohio State is the in-state school, and is also after his teammate LB Davonte James. Notre Dame enticed him with their academics, and Michigan State was his favorite school growing up.

What He's Said:

To Andrew Chirico on his game:

"I like playing fast, getting quick catches and putting my team in the position to win the ball game.."

"I actually had to leave the campus pretty quickly for a 7-on-7 competition so I was not able to have a meeting with the coaching staff or anything like that. I was told to call Coach Smith and I did a few hours later, which is when he notified me that I had the offer. He said to be ready for him and the rest of the staff to come at me hard."

"My area recruiter is Coach Hinton and we talk on the phone a bit. Coach Smith wants to stay in communication now too so I'll be keeping in touch with him as well. I have a real good relationship with Coach Hinton and my relationship with Coach Smith is probably going to pick up as well."

"I have not been as active for other players as I have been towards Vonn but I talked to Raekwon McMillan and Dante Booker at FNL. I think there is a good chance they chose Ohio State. Raekwon, like Vonn, has many offers from SEC schools so we will be in a battle for him. I also talked to Thaddeus Snodgrass at FNL and encouraged him to join us at OSU."
