One of the standouts from Friday Night Lights was 2014 running back Mikale Wilbon (De La Salle/Chicago, IL). The 5-9 190 pound back impressed the staff and other onlookers with his natural athleticism and ability to make plays in space.

This wasn't the first time he impressed the staff either. He attended OSU's camp back in the beginning of June, and ran a sub-4.5 40. He was told then by Coach Stan Drayton that an offer could soon be on the horizon. After a repeat performance at FNL, he's definitely a guy to keep an eye on.

As of right now Purdue is Wilbon's only offer, something that should quickly change. In fact, the Buckeyes could very well be the next team to pull the trigger. It's also important to note that the staff is heavily after Wilbon's teammate, 2014 offensive lineman Jamarco Jones. He also attended FNL, and walked away very impressed with everything he took in. He's made it clear that the two aren't opposed to going to the same school

I caught up with Wilbon to see his reaction to Friday Night Lights, as well as where things stand in his recruitment.
