Back in May, Michael Chung caught up with Tracy Sprinkle, the 6’5” 260 pound defensive end commit in the Buckeyes’ 2013 recruiting class. Tracy is in the midst of his senior season at Elyria (Elyria, OH) and took the time to speak with me. According to Maxpreps.com, Sprinkle is averaging 9.2 tackles/game and 2.0 sacks/game so far this season. Sprinkle plans on enrolling early to Ohio State and also played basketball for Elyria.
How’s your season gone so far? Specifically, how do you feel about your play?
Our season is going well. I feel like I’m having a good season. I’m leading our league in sacks with 11.
Are any other schools still actively recruiting you?
No. I still receive mail, but that’s about it.
Are you close with any current Buckeye players incoming 2013 commits? If so, which players and commits are you closest with?
I wouldn’t say I’m close, but we all communicate through twitter. I speak with Ezekiel Elliot, Cameron Burrows, Marcus Baugh, Jayme Thompson, Darron Lee, and Tyquan Lewis.
Are you still speaking with any other OSU recruits to come play with you at OSU?
I feel that I can improve on learning more defensive moves. My strengths would be my speed, high motor, and strength.
Do you plan on attending any OSU games this Fall?
Yes, I’ll be at the Nebraska and Michigan games.
